In commemoration of the visionary concept of the esteemed Mr. C.W.W. Kannangara, Galahitiyawa Central College, a proud institution in the lineage of central schools, marks its 80th anniversary.
To celebrate this milestone, an all-night Pirith chanting ceremony was held on May 2nd, followed by a Sanghika Dana (almsgiving) the next morning. The Past Pupils Association had the privilege of participating in and contributing to these meritorious activities.
At this moment, it is fitting to honor and remember with reverence all the past principals, teachers, parents, past pupils, current students, and their parents who have tirelessly dedicated themselves over the past 80 years to nurturing children with knowledge, wisdom, and virtue.
May the legacy of Galahitiyawa Central College continue to provide opportunities for many more generations of children, enabling them to achieve equality and success in the world.
